I kind of enjoyed this. It reminded me of Alexander McCall Smith's style. (Wonder if it was an influence on him?) But I never got really into it. I read more out a feeling of of duty than escapement.

I've read this book years ago and liked it very much. As this little book was among the leftovers of the Convention thought I'd like to try to re-release it somewhere where it has a good chance of getting new readers. Left in a huge plant box with a boating quatation on Rose Street, Edinburgh.
