I got this little softcover, from a series inspired by the different lines on the London Underground, from Better World Books. (Check out the whimsical author's-bio on the back cover; it includes such entries as "Eye colour: Nightshade-leaf green" and "Height: Not quite short enough to dodge under ticket-barriers"!)
The book's a mix of personal memoir and history of the Metropolitan Line, especially as its development affected neighborhoods - those disrupted by the construction and the new ones designed by developers and heavily promoted as features. There are also a number of literary references - quite a few authors inserted nods to (or imprecations about!) the London railways.
