Bought in the BHF charity shop in Thirsk today.
Eastenders goes to Italy in the 1950s. Alternative Room With a View? Perfectly OK with some lively and interesting characters although my goodness it went on a bit.
It's about friendships and lives and little incidences and a love of all things Italy and Florence. And how some friends and kindreds stay with you for life, even of you lose touch for decades. Nice ideas. Life life. Enjoy. You don't necessarily have to go to Italy to do that, but anyway. Coming out of the second world war, these are the people who survived and what they made of their lives for the next few decades. And that of a macaw parrot called Claude.
