I received this beautiful bookstore from Sante Fe, New Mexico, USA in my lovely package from Ythan. The beautiful National Trust desk calendar is finally safe with me, and the delicious chocolates are gone.

Remembers me the day I visited Bath with a local guide who was supposed to speak French but didn't and read from a paper at the wrong moments. What a laugh we had. Poor she, it was the day of the Shuttle inauguration ceremony and all the English/French translators were requisitioned.

Received Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop from Bjorg with the Chick lit and chocolate sweepstakes book. I see this bookshop is in Ireland - I’m hoping to travel there in the next year or two as it’s where both sides of my family originally come from. So if I get as far as Galway I’ll visit the bookshop.

I received a postcard for Walden Pond Books ... in my hometown of Oakland, CA and one of my *favorite* places to hang out as a teenager (none of which you could have known but is so very cool). It came with I Promised my Dad (Cheryl Landon Wilson), received in the Iconic/Famous Sweepstakes. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it in the long term, but for now I'm going to post it on my refrigerator. Thank you for bringing back beautiful memories!

Secret Santa time! A lovely postcard of The City Lights bookstore in San Francisco arrived today in "The Great White North" in quite a large package! Being a rock & roll geek, this postcard is perfect. City Lights is the bookstore poet, painter and social activist, Lawrence Ferlinghetti co-founded. I remember him well, reciting poetry in the "The Last Waltz" documentary, which we watch every year. (The 47th anniversary of The Band's farewell concert was just a few days ago.) And thank you, Secret Santa for the gorgeous Bodleian Library Advent calendar - just in time for Dec. 1st. I love Advent calendars - every Dec. we would have one when I was a child. The other goodies will be opened on Xmas day. Thanks so much, Ythan. The postcard will go travelling soon.

Got "Powell's City of Books" Portland, Oregon USA postcard tucked into a secret santa 2023 book for Christmas!! I'll probably hold onto it and use as a bookmark and then mail it on next time I send a bookcrossing book off to somebody!
Received Capitol Hill Books With a Christmas gift from Tanamo.
Found this in a book in my bookcrossing zone, poor things been there a year! I'll send it off a new journey in the near future. Lovely idea, look forward to seeing where this travels to!
