Journal Entry 1 by winggreenbadgerwing from St Albans, Hertfordshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, December 7, 2022
This is the fascinating story of Slaght's journey to the furthest eastern edge of Russia, a hard and brutal landscape breeding tough people, in order to research the Blakiston's fish owl in a bid to conserve its territory, under threat from logging. With many failures and adventures along the way, Slaght and his team have to come up with their own methods to find and capture these owls. They meet some truly extraordinary people and risk their lives multiple times, and the owls themselves seem full of personality.
