The beginner's goodbye

Anne Tyler gives us a wise, haunting, and deeply moving novel in which she explores how a middle-aged man, ripped apart by the death of his wife, is gradually restored by her frequent appearances—in their house, on the roadway, in the market. I always enjoy this author's books.
I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did.
Always looking forward to a book by Anne Tyler.
I had already read that one. It did not ring a bell at first. Only when I read the chapter with the tree falling on the house. Not such a common accident ! I nevertheless went on reading, because I strangely remembered neither the characters, nor the publishing house, nor the dead wife reappearing. It is only when I came to the last chapter , which I recalled very well, that I was totally sure I had read it before. I re-read it with pleasure.
Mailed to Ritao. Enjoy !
The book arrived safely in Finland. Thank you for the RABCK, Nodame!
