Journal Entry 4 by LynnErlaBeegle at Raleigh, North Carolina USA on Friday, January 6, 2023
A very down-to-earth book about the trauma placed on American families who were forced to leave their homes and live in converted horse stables during World War II, as told by a woman who lived through it as a child. We've heard of the internment of American of Japanese descent, but this book made the details much clearer.
** I gave this book to a friend who promised to place it in a Little Free Library in Jupiter Florida. I hope someone finds Desert Exile soon!
