I set this book aside for a friend who's a Francophile, only to find that, now I'm registering it, that I have read another copy and passed it on to her years ago. Ah well... At least it helped me fulfill a prompt for a reading challenge so my reading time was not totally in vain.

I didn't like the book too much years ago, and can't say time has improved my impression of it. The list of authors in this collection is impressive, including Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, Thomas Jefferson, Gertrude Stein, David Sedaris, Dave Barry and more. Some I find interesting but quite a few feels boring and uninteresting, and none do a good job of making one falling in love with and wanting to go to Paris.

Will set aside for wild release or bookbox.
