This is another example of the exceptional writing of Aussie David Malouf. Set in early 1800's Australia much of the story is told through a conversation between two men under rather unique circumstances. Malouf's writing is magnificent, he uses very poetic prose and his skillful use of dialogue is particularly notable with the character who is illiterate. Definitely worth reading.
