Thank you so much to quinnsmom for RABCKing me! Can`t wait to read and pass on!!
Thanks again to quinnsmom for my opportunity in letting me read this book.
I think I reached every human emotion available with this read. Once I started, I couldn`t put it down! Quite a hefty bigger paperback of 781 pages.
This is one of the best books I`ve read. I had read another by this author, The Unburied and I knew I wanted more...This book proved me right.
A mystery, many intermingled characters, love, desperation, hope, poverty and more. Written with a Dickensian flare. A superb read!!
From reviews inside book:
"A novel of great descriptive power...A genuine reproduction of a fullbodied 19th-century page- turner of a novel, thick with characters of all classes, with plots, counterplots, forebodings, reversals and interpolated tales...You read the first page and down you wonderfully fall, into a long, large, wide world of fiction. ~The New York Times Book Review~
