Thirteen women purchase an expensive diamond necklace together with plans to share it.
It is unusual for thirteen women to get together and buy an expensive diamond necklace. There were interesting moments in the book, but I did get tired of the group dynamics which included women disagreeing with each other a lot. I often thought, while reading this book, that I would not fit into this group of Southern California women, many of whom were wealthy, but I would probably never get excited about a diamond necklace either.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This book is going into the Biographies of Things bookbox. It will be traveling to Azuki of Florida.
I read this some years ago, and really enjoyed it then. The book does make me wish to be part of the group (though not so much when they talk about the conflicts and different opinions). The author does a good job portraying the different women and slowly move the timeline along with each.
Taking this out as my friend may enjoy it.
