This little book was in the library of the one room school that I attended for Grades I, II, and III. I didn't read it then but my mother saved a number of the books from the library when the school closed. I thought I would like to have it if only for the memories. This book was Catalogue No. 31 so it was a fairly early acquisition. Google tells me that the book was initially published in 1840 but there is no indication of when this particular book was published. The publisher of the series of which this is one, Nelson's Classics, is T. Nelson and Sons Ltd., a London printing company. The name Nelson's Classics was used after 1905 but was changed to Nelson Classics in the 1920s (according to a website called Series of Series. So that probably means this book was purchased some time in that time period.
