Thanks so much, Philomom, for sending this book. I want to read this before I pass it on to my mom sea-sprite who will absolutely love this book. Thanks again!
This book finally made it to the top of Mount TBR. Wonderful! I had no idea about the background of the author (I won't ruin it by revealing details--those who have read it know what I'm talking about), but it put a whole new dimension on the story as I have known it from the movie. I really enjoyed this. My mom has already read this so I will make this book available. Due to my unsuccessful wild release experiences, I will offer as a bookring first then as a RABCK later on.

Picked up the book today at the post office and have already started the first few pages while waiting for the bus this morning. Can't wait to finish it! Thanks for sending it, aspenmoonlight!
Just finished it over the weekend, mailed off to TJRoth this morning as part of the bookring. It was good to finally read the book, and it filled in some of the blanks for me, but this is one case where I preferred the movie over the book.
Received in the mail yesterday. Thanks!
Update 7/29/05 Haven't quite gotten around to finishing this one. It kind of drags on for me so I don't want to hold the ring up. Pming the next in line for their address.

Sending off to juni623 today.
Arrived today. Looking forward to reading it
This was a pretty quick read. The beginning of the story was choppy, making it a seem a little disconnected and hard to stay with. Just as reading it started to flow more easily, it was over. If the background about the author is true, it did bring an interesting facet to the story and explains the writing style. I enjoyed the book, but must admit that I too enjoyed the movie more.

When I first started reading this book, I didn't think I would like it, but as I read more, I became absolutely enthralled with it. It was a touching and very wonderful story. I would like to see the movie now. Thank you aspenmoonlight for sharing it.

I'll be sending this on to amberc on Monday..
It was interesting to read this book particularly the prologue and epilogue written by Richard's brother, However, it did drag a bit for me at the beginning and I nearly gave up. The seocnd part was a better read for me. However, I've come to the conclussion that although I like a slushy film, I'm not much of a romance reader. Thanks so much for giving me the chance to read this and I hope the rest of the participants enjoy xxx

i like romance, particularly time travel romance as an escape type read. this book however wasn't that kind of light, escapist reading for me. i found it dragged. i think the movie of it could be good tho and i would like to see it.
i will post this to RockDg9 tomorrow.

Received in the post today - thanks! I never even heard of the movie before and I'm not much of a romance fan but I'll see how I go.
Thanks aspenmoonlight for making this into a bookring.

Wow - I actually enjoyed this. It's an interesting story and extremely well written. The writing style in the first part of the book is a little disjointed, but I felt it flowed well nonetheless. The prologue provided verisimilitude and, in fact, tricked me for a bit until I realised it was part of the story too. The author is very clever.
Posting on to Eucalia in the US.

This book has arrived safely in Seattle! Thanks for sending it, RockDg9
I finished this book a few days ago. For the most part I enjoyed the story, but a few parts really bugged me. For starters, the writing style at the beginning of the book was odd, but as I was starting to get used to this, he suddenly switched to a normal writing style. The author explained this switch away, but it felt to me as though he had just gotten tired of the odd style and taken an easy out. The second thing that bugged me was the way Elise accepts Richard so readily. I'm sorry, but it seemed to me that the reasons she had for accepting him were tenuous at best, and then he shows up and is nothing but creepy to her. I couldn't swallow that she would accept him as completely as she did. And then, the ending. Ugh. But over all, a cute story. Thanks for giving me the chance to read this!

This book finally made it home! Thank you all for making my first bookring so successful. I appreciated reading everyone's opinions of this book. I will probably make this book available for another bookring but more likely I'll release as a RABCK. Thanks again, Everyone!

Thanks SO much for this! After seeing everyone's reviews, I can't wait to get started on it! And I have an idea for when I'm done with it - Dallas area morning radio host Kidd Kraddick has said that Somewhere in Time is one of his favorite movies. Wouldn't it be cool to send him the book and introduce him to Bookcrossing???
This was a cute story, but kind of sad, really. Thanks for sharing it with me. I'm passing it on now.
