Left in my street library.

Finally read this and it was a gentle slow paced book similar to the Lucy Barton books. Less about Olive Kitteridge herself, than all the people who were in her life, family, villagers, ex students. In fact, for the first quarter it was written more from the perspective of her husband Henry.
A pleasant holiday read.

Picked up at the meetup because an Elizabeth Strout novel should never be left behind! I've met so many readers who hated Olive but I find her quite a lost and unhappy soul, and certainly a very complex character. And Strout's writing...superb. I'll find a suitable way to send this book travelling again
