Hurrah, the 2nd Child brothers collaboration and the umpteenth of the series ... Reacher dies in the 1st chapter, not a spoiler!

(20/10/22) This is more like the old Reacher, not that the 1st collaboration was much different. In which, our man rocks up in Arizona near the Mexican border, gets shot by an ex CIA agent and forensic specialist looking for her dead twin brother (who isn't dead), then comes back to life, and defeats the bad guys. I think Reacher/Child is less tolerant than of old, he actually kills quite a few of the hired help (aka apes) but only after breaking bones and disabling them first. The plot is about smuggling but also about bomb-making and an odd discordant feud between terrorists. Maybe the will and muscles are still strong, but the plots are thinning? That said, it’s still reliable escapist stuff :)

I'm not entirely sure where this is going, but I hope to leave in the market on the last leg of our holiday, on the way back to the UK. It seams appropriate to leave our wandering Reacher here! Enjoy.

*Update* I left the book in our Airbnb in East Falls, just outside Philadelphia, so didn't take to to the station.
