This slim softcover is from several crates' worth of books that I got at New Searles Elementary School, where they were being given away. It's based on a Mexican legend about a girl who had no gift to offer the Christ Child and picked weeds as the only thing she could think of - only to have them turn into the vivid-red poinsettias as she presented them.
