One of my favorite books. Sue Monk Kidd is a great author and this is one of her best. It’s a powerful story with some tough subjects. I enjoyed reading about the Grimke sisters and Sarah Grimke’s work as an abolitionist and suffragette. It’s a work of fiction with historical elements. I highly recommend this book!

I think this one is in a little free library in Beaverdale but I might have sent it to a friend in Ottumwa. It’s out there somewhere waiting to be found. It’s an excellent historical fiction book! I highly recommend it!
