I got this softcover from Better World Books, for another release copy.
This is, of course, the basis for the musical My Fair Lady, as well as for several versions of the play itself, including this 1938 film. [While I enjoyed the musical very much, it did make a significant change to the ending of the original. For some compare-and-contrast, see the TV Tropes pages for My Fair Lady and Pygmalion.]
This edition includes sketches by Feliks Topolski, and a very snarky preface and epilogue by Shaw in which he deconstructs his own story and sends some pointed remarks towards the folk who insist that Eliza should wind up with Higgins. In some ways I enjoyed those bits more than the rest of the story, if only because I was pretty familiar with that already. But I did like seeing the original text and noting the differences - some slight, some significant - in the screen adaptation. I find that I love both versions, but would dearly love to have seen an alternate-ending film version; what would those actors have made of it???
