I was pleased to find this book in the Little Free Library when I stopped by to drop off some books of my own. Looks fascinating! (I'd hoped to find a copy of your Achilles in Heels, but didn't see them in the LFLs in Wilton or Mason, so somebody else must have grabbed them already!)

Later: I found Achilles in Heels on a subsequent visit to Pickity Place, and enjoyed it very much!

And this book both entertained and frustrated me - the writing's very good, involving me in the ups and downs of the author's life, but I got very bad vibes about her relationship with "Fish" early on, and so the increasingly-troubled domestic situation and its overdue but still traumatic end had me wanting to shout suggestions to the author about excellent sources of advice (Captain Awkward, anyone?). Alas, shouting at the pages never does any good {wry grin} - and the author eventually worked her own way through, not without cost but with a certain satisfaction.

Many of the book's scenes and anecdotes charmed me, especially those dealing with the various livestock, from exotic chickens to hapless rabbits. And visits to places I've loved, such as Philadelphia's Mutter Museum and the catacombs of Paris, made me smile.

Also, major props for what sounds like an awesome cosplay as the Goblin King!
