A new author for me and start of a crime/thriller series - as recommended by Lee Child!
(31/07/22) This is my first Karin Slaughter book, and the series set in Grant County, Georgia. Although it has a small town America feel, she goes big on gruesome murders and complex characters. I say ‘complex’, but most of the good guys are flawed, and a bit annoying IMO, and the baddies are over-the-top monsters. The main plot (kidnap, torture & murder of young women) takes place alongside tensions between Sara Linton, GP and part-time pathologist, and Jeffrey Tolliver, her ex husband and police chief. So far so unlikely, and that’s before all the murders, which inevitably escalate to include our heroes, their families, colleagues, and ex-partners. I think we all need a break to recover before the next instalment (Kisscut)!
Also, I think 'Blindsighted' has a double meaning; one of the victims is blind, and maybe a lot of those involved are blind-sighted by their own perceptions and prejudices ... but it's probably not that deep!

The first batch of books - not all all registered - looking for some shelf space at the The Cross Keys new 'crossing zone
Update Sorry I released this too soon, the Cross Keys is not happy to have books ... I forget the daft list of reasons, but basically they're not book-friendly. I can send this to you (pm me) or I'll look for another place in Chester for a new crossing zone :)
