Cecelia Ahern writes a wide variety of genres so, if like me, you don’t read the bumph on the back, you may well be in for a surprise. This is another book that has sat on my TBR for far too long without me knowing it.

Celestine lives in a world where everything is perfect. She has a wonderful family and the perfect boyfriend. Anyone who is less than perfect is branded so that the rest of the world knows exactly what you've done wrong. In a split second decision, Celestine does something that changes her life forever. As you read the book you learn more and more about all the characters, even those who seem 2 dimensional soon prove they have more to them than you first thought, and some of them are really what you think. Ahern manages to build suspense without an awful lot of action but she makes you want to keep reading.

My favourite book of this year so far for my NSS partner at the Newcastle uncon.

Really not sure how this one sneaked into my bag at the Newcastle Unconvention, however it did. Looks good

I found this book really addictive. Such a clever idea. I had no idea it was part of a series. Really well written and has elements of the handmaids tale to it and other dystonian books. I have put the 2nd book on my wishlist

When I started reading it I realised it was a YA novel. Then I got really engrossed. A bit brutal in parts but a very good read.
