We enjoyed a sunny aftenoon drive, swapping a couple of books in a couple of book exchanges as we went :-) I brought this one home from the Roecliffe red telephone box because I've previously been impressed with other novels by this author.

Alice is hit by a car and goes into a coma . . . the bulk of the novel is a collection of stories and memories and family history and all-consuming love and impressions and things, all falling over each other, reported and in the first person, unrelated in time and place . . . Wonderful, I couldn't put it down and finished it the day I started it!

The title and characters looked familiar. I felt sure I had already read this.
It wasn't on BC but I found it in my notebook. Maybe this was before I became a Book Crosser.
I enjoyed it and gave it a Very Good.
