Always on the lookout for more stories from this particular Regiment...the fact that it's a graphic novel is an added bonus.
Thank you hyphen8, for the book as well as the origami bookmarks (my fave kind)!

A beautifully drawn and scripted graphic novel, doing its little part for the most decorated unit in US Army history -- the 100th Battalion/442nd RCT.
I now have the Epinal American Cemetery in France on my list of places to visit. There is no mention of this in Google reviews but, with permission from the family, it is the final resting place of 11 of the many nisei soldiers of the 442nd RCT who died during this rescue, and while defending the Vosges mountain towns -- I think that needs a change. Also of note, the towns of Bruyères and Biffontaine continue to uphold their promise to 'never forget' these soldiers who liberated them while the soldiers' own families were behind barbed wired internment camps on US soil (the 80th anniversary is coming up October 2024). Meanwhile, it's been an uphill battle (ironic?) to even have this mentioned in American history books -- a country, it seems, that would be perfectly happy to 'never remember'.
I'll be taking this to Falkirk with me for the upcoming Convention!
