We read this book for a church-based book club. Although I thought parts of the book were funny, I couldn't seem to get past the fact that I was reading it for a church-based book club and didn't feel it was an appropriate selection for such a group. I believe my feeling were accurate based on the lack of people who turned out to discuss the book.

I realize that this is a book of fiction, but the author often takes the story line a bit too far. I like the premise of the story line, but think it could have been accomplished in fewer pages.

However, under different circumstances, I might have this book more enjoyable.
