I had liked, at least the first few books - before they became too much alike, the dragon series that this author wrote and had decided to give this "Dark One" / vampire series a whirl. I probably should have stayed away. It was okay but there are so many better series featuring vamp romance that this one falls w-a-y to the end. The humor was for the most part either absent or juvenile. The romance was okay, but c'mon ****spoiler - you've been warned***

a vamp romance where the heroine does not end up with the hunky vampire? When she's supposed to be his One True Love? Just does not compute. There were a few steamy scenes but even they were a little weird. (The virginal BF in one case is listening in from the next room and doing everything except a livestream of the event.). I have one or two of the books in this series on the shelf, but I'm going to pass on those. Someone else may enjoy these, but it's time for me to find something a little more up my alley.
