This is a story about love, sex, intrigue, jeaslousy ... and a mystery to solve, of course.
Caroline Lawrence has done something I hardly thought possible - written a story about sex and love-tangles from the point of view of her eleven-year-old characters, who hardly know what any of it is about. The result is hilarious! I really enjoyed this one!
The children have gone on a visit to "The Patron", a character from an earlier book, where a member of the household is being poisoned. They have to disentangle all the various sorts of love between characters, including some of their own youthful crushes, to work out the motive and find the culprit.
