On to Mt TBR it goes.

Without doubt this is a well written novel from Aussie author Kate Mildenhall. A compelling read which portrayed a rather scary future in the descriptions of the effects of climate change. Fast paced with a suspense filled climax and an ending that thankfully left a glimmer of hope for the future...

Picked up at the meetup. Another one I've been meaning to read....

Always excited to read a book from a new Australian author but unfortunately this one didn't quite deliver as much as I was hoping for. Maybe my expectations of dystopian novels are too high but without giving any spoilers I felt there were too many loose ends and the characters were not really likeable, especially the main "strong" female one whose choices and reactions sent me cringing at nearly every page! I will keep the writer in mind though, as it was her first novel. Some parts of the book were very well-written so there's promise there.
