This book is along the lines of Odd Thomas. Brother Odd, and By the Light of the moon with the characters. Unfortunately, it looks like it will be a stand alone story line instead of a series.
Other reviewers indicated that there is too much description of things, like the town, and it could be shortened quite a bit. However, for other readers, painting a word portrait of the surroundings grips the imagination deeper into the story.
