Great concept. I love the 4 agreements, though I do struggle with 2: Don't take anything personally. There are a whole group of Americans with darker skin who have been bullied by white skinned folks for centuries. I find this agreement a little white-centric. It's easy to say "don't take things personally" while you still have access to great health care, a decent paying job, respectably housing and proper nourishing food is within your reach and somebody told you that you suck at your job. Different than lifetimes of abuse against your whole people. It feels reasonable for ME. A white middle class woman. But I can't imagine my Black urban friends jiving with this after years of belittling from every corner of their lives.
