I found this trade-sized paperback today, in a Little Free Library on Wharf St. near Lawrence St. in Bluffton SC USA. I have already read my own copy, so this one will be available for bookcrossing immediately.

The American Library Association lists this book, or the trilogy it is part of, as among the top ten most challenged books of 2013, 2011, and 2010.

Carnegie Mellon University's Banned Books Project lists this title as a banned and/or challenged book, and a student in CMU English's Banned Books course wrote a profile here - The Hunger Games.

I contributed this book to a book swap at a social event of Families Against Book Bans, a local advocacy group for intellectual freedom. The event was held in the fellowship hall of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Beaufort, on Lady’s Island, Beaufort SC USA.
