Thank you Poodlesister! This is such a kind rabck. I added Circe to my wishlist recently after a friend raved about how much she loved it.

I hope the work stresses you mention in your card ease soon. I've also been having some hectic weeks, but it should get better in the spring when I leave my current job to go self-employed.

I read this mostly whilst on holiday in Germany. My best memories are the chapters read whilst lounging by the pool at Badeparadies Schwarzwald whilst my son was (temporarily) occupied just with his Dad.

I've never been partially into Greek myths and that meant I struggled to follow things at times, but it was a very cleverly written story that explored traditional mythology from a feminist perspective. It reminded me of The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood which I read quite a few years back.

I was a bit underwhelmed by this book after hearing so many great things about it…
Nonetheless, very well written and liked the intertwining of myths.
