A Man Called Ove

From the back of the book... "Ove's well-ordered, solitary world gets a shake-up one November morning with the appearance of new neighbors, a chatty young couple and their two boisterous daughters, who announce their arrival by accidentally flattening Ove's mailbox with their U-Haul. What follows is a heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unlikely friendships, and a community's unexpected reassessment of the one person they thought they had all figured out."
A fun read. Ove is an eccentric, grumpy old man. Through some unusual circumstances, his life takes on a purpose.

Thanks for sharing. I am doing the Eurovisionathon, a readathon where we read books from different European countries. It's great that now I've found a book from Sweden.
For the first few chapters, I didn't exactly like the story, it is like an overdose of Mr Bean - who wants a whole book about grumpy mean old man? But just like Ove himself, I slowly open up, and happy to see Ove gaining a new family and joy to life.
I am so excited that Tom Hanks will be playing Ove (renamed Otto in the American version) in the movie, can't wait for it to come out!! (there's a Swedish version out already, but I totally want to see Hanks playing Ove.)
Thanks for sharing this lovely read.

This book will now head to dacejav, who has this on her wishlist. Enjoy!!
Safely received in Latvia! Thank you, Azuki, for the RABCK!
