One of my Mum’s books, passed to me to read and Bookcross.

First book I've read by this author, and definitely not the last. Fast paced and intriguing. The set up is brilliant, with the mysterious disappearance of the enigmatic Layla, followed by her seemingly reappearance years later when her boyfriend is about to marry her sister. The pacing is great and it's easy to get swept along - the reader can probably work out what is actually happening, but that only adds to the tension waiting for the other characters to catch up with the clue. Very enjoyable read.
