This book is a souvenir from the 1991 eclipse that passed over Hawaii. Mom and I went to the Big Island on a tour with the Bishop Museum - and a giant cloud blocked the sun just at totality. It was still a fascinating experience, with the darkness very apparent, but we didn't get the full effect. Meanwhile, Dad & my brother saw the whole thing from our front yard. Sigh.
