While any translation is in some way a betrayal of the original text, these fragments, poems, and epitaphs from ancient Greek do have a certain charm in English. :) I think this book is best read in quiet moments over the course of several days, as a sort of guided meditation. Connecting with people who lived 2500 years ago always feels rather mystical to me!
