I enjoyed this book very much. It reminded me of "Like Water for Chocolate". It's mysterious and magical. As in "water for Chocolate" it illustrates the undeniable ties between food, scent, love and life. It's filled with unusually named recipes - for which there's an index in the back of the book. This index also shows you where in the book you can find helpful hints such as: Crickets, as a love charm; Lamp, how to kill a spider with; and Lizard, how to stop one from eating your heart. I also recommend her book "A Recipe for Bees"
