Tulip Fever

I read this book many years ago and I saw this recently at the Lifeline Bookfest, I thought it would be a good book to put into my bag, for the Aussie Book Bag Round 3

Sending in the Aussie Bookbag Round 3

Received in the book bag but allowed to travel on.

A book I have been wanting to read in ages. Saw the (rather messy) movie adaptation a few years back and it's likely book is way better, and what a great historical setting. Out of the book bag it goes!

Finally got round to this book! A quick read, clever multiple narrative. There was a fair bit of Amsterdam, and the tulip fever was in the background, but I felt like there could have been more of it and less of the romantic plot? Maybe I wasn't in the right head space for it, and I still lapped it up anyway. Now reserved for the OZ VBB
