Set during the reign of King Henry 2nd, shortly after the murder of Thomas Becket - Adelia arrives in Cambridge with Simon the Jew and Mancur the Saracen to conduct autopsies on four children who have been murdered locally. The local Jews have been blamed and are currently locked within the castle walls for their protection...... and women are not accepted as medical professionals. Interesting story line with a twist or two right at the end..... good read!
