Liane Crockett de Villiers--It is the tense summer before the outbreak of World War II. She is crossing the Atlantic with her husband, the Ambassador of France, when she first meets Nick Burnham. The spark between Liane and Nick is instantaneous, yet not until a second crossing, when she is forced to flee France without spouse or family, will they confront the full power of their passion.

Moving between Paris, New York, and San Francisco, vividly portraying the events of the century's most turbulent decade, Danielle Steel tells the compelling story of a woman caught between conflicting passions and divided loyalties--a story that is full, passionate, and striaght from the heart.

For freelance-artist extraordinaire Rivet DelBookcrossing, a woman from a small, relatively unknown town, copying blurbs from the back covers of pathetically sappy romance novels is becoming a tedious chore.

Her desires were simple. Temporarily stationed in a very familiar city, she would read and release her favorite books to show her love for wildly popular Juan Bookcrossing DotCom. But such a wondrous love could only be swirled with a passionate addiction--a pertinacious fixation that left Rivet buried in books.

Hellbent on getting revenge, Rivet returns home with a plot to have an affair with Don Public Library while Juan is still away. However, Rivet is met with a streak of odd luck when her inclinations are tempted and she is compelled to purchase even more books.

Frantic to clear her shelves so that Juan might never know of her fling, Rivet embarks on a quest to release each and every book purchased from Don. But Rivet, still upset with Juan for introducing her to the object of her relentless obsession, has a vindictive scheme to spread the addiction to Juan's family...releasing pathetically sappy romance novels first!

This book will be released as part of the Write Your Own Blurb Release Challenge.
