The Snow Garden - BOOKRING
8 journalers for this copy...
Really got into this book. Christopher Rice has a crazy mind! I had read Density of Souls first and wasn't too sure about this one, but I definitely enjoyed this one more. Very entertaining!
I am turning this book into a bookring. Please be sure to make a journal entry when you receive the book so we can keep track of where it is! :) Here is the mailing order:

i liked it very much...refreshing, with an interesting story and plenty of suspense. I simply get hooked by the book...trying to know what was going to happen next.
to be read by people without "sexual" prejudice....or you will pay to much attention to the sexual preferences of the characters, instead of the story....
i have the address to arturogrande, i'll send it next week...because i'm finishing two other books...so i'll send it all together...i don't like to wake up early... :-)

Book arrived safe and well today. I've had two other rings arrive just ahead of it, but I'm a pretty quick reader, so I'm not planning to keep hold of it for ages!

Mmm... this will be an interesting journal entry to write, as I found this book to be a bit of a curate's egg - good in parts.
The basic plot was suitably dark (I like a bit of darkness to my books), as befits the son of Anne Rice, and there were enough shady characters and labyrinthine plot twists to keep me happy.
BUT I thought some of the plot devices were just that LITTLE bit too contrived to really hold my attention - I found myself thinking 'But why did he...' 'Why didn't she...' 'What the.....' a few too many times.
That said, I did quite enjoy this, and it reminded me of another ring book I read a few months back, 'Red Leaves', which might be worth checking out if you liked The Snow Garden.
Manda77 has not replied to three PMs, and a forum search shows she has not been active for the past five months, so the book's now on its way to spiderchic.

Finished this last night. I also have read Red Leaves and it did remind me of that as well I think it's the campus setting and the snow. It wasn't as baffling for me from what I can remember, plenty of twists and turns though to keep you interested.
Thanks for sharing shall pass on.

It's here! Will get to this soon! :)
This was a tough one for me. I was struggling to stay focused in the beginning, but I flew through the last third. I was getting a little confused keeping track of the characters and their relationships to one another. Definitely a dark story, darker than I usually read. It is in the mail today.
Received safe and sound!
Sorry I forgot to journal. I actually finished this a while ago and have been waiting for mypileofbooks to send address. This was pretty good, kept me reading. I think I may try to find Red Leaves since I noticed two people mentioned it.
