On to Mt TBR it goes.
This memoir is unlike anything I have read previously.
In diary form, the diary entries from the late 1970s to early 1980s are positively awful as, during this time, the author was a hard core substance abuser. For me, the highlight was the mid80s through the mid90s, when David starts to get his act together, meets the love of his life and stops living on the fringe. This is where the diary entries are laugh-out-loud funny in stark contrast to the earlier entries, such a relief!
Very different but worth reading.

So glad to find this in a street library in Surrey Hills! I’ve read a few David Sedaris books in the past and loved them.
