I'm a big fan of the Maisie Dobbs series and got this stand alone novel by the same author soon after it came out. I really liked it, though maybe not quite as much as the series. My shelf needs thinning and my friend mentioned that she wanted to read it, so it is the perfect time to send it on its way. :)

I handed it off to a friend at our book club meeting, which was at an outdoor café on a very hot day. It was nice to see everyone after our summer holidays!
