This book was left over after my church's yard sale and I claimed it during the cleanup. It's a light and charming read, based on a loosely continued saga of families and characters in a little town called Cedar Cover. I've read a couple of the others in the series.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I'm pleased to be able to send this as an RABCK (Random Act of Bookcrossing Kindness). I was inspired by a request in the HGG (Holiday Gift Giving) event but it's always nice to pass on books to someone who wants them. It makes a nice counterpoint to leaving books out randomly and not hearing back from even 10% of them.

Enjoy!

Thank you Hobbit. I’m delighted at the perspective of reading this book - and even more so knowing it arrived from Poughkeepsie.
Thank you for sending this book and the enclosed note.

I have gifted myself the previous volumes of the series and am looking forward to start reading it.

Backcovertext of the first volume in the series:
Welcome to Cedar Cove - a small town with a big heart!
Judge Olivia Lockhart has caused a scandal. Hearing Cecilia and Ian Randal's petition for a divorce, she came to the conclusion that the young couple hadn't tried hard enough to make their marriage work. Her judgement? Divorce denied.

While Judge Olivia throws the town into an uproar, her daughter Justine is on the verge of the biggest decision of her life. Should she stop waiting for love and accept a marriage of convenience?

Olivia's best friend, Grace, has troubles of her own. Dan, her husband, is increasingly distant and Grace is starting to wonder if he's having an affair.

This was really one of the best volumes so far. I enjoyed the storyline with Teri, Bobby, Christie and James. The developments of the others are also interesting (though the outlook might not be that positive for all).
I wasn’t 100% sure before, but this volume convinced me I wanted to keep track of the ‘friends’ in Cedar Cove. I’ve ordered the next volumes.
Thanks Hobbit for this read.

I enjoyed this one a bit less, probably because sheriff Davis is not the most interesting character. Bobby and Teri are fun, though.
