I enjoyed this book. There is some British slang and old fashioned language that made it harder to follow. And every character could be referred to by several different names- first, last, or simply "the colonel" which was also a little confusing. I would have enjoyed it much more if I had read it without interruptions. I appreciated the twists and turns. Found out online this is a bit of a classic written earlier in the author's career. I have another one I will try out soon as well.
