This is a very simple book, yet I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the lyrical quality of Waller's prose.

Thanks for this suprise rabck Hleann!
I have read this but didn't make a journal entry. I did enjoy it but I wouldn't say it was a great favourite. I saw the film first and didn't really like it as I am not a huge fan of Clint Eastwood and although I do like Meryl Streep I found her irritating in the film. Unfortunately I kept thinking of both of them when reading the book!
Anyway, I am planning to try to release 80 books as a memorial to my Dad before what would have been his 81st birthday in October so I will be offering this one as part of that.
