Murder on the Oxford Canal was found by accident, but excited to read it as I walked the canals and Thames around Oxford summer of 2019, with my friend Malcolm. chose it very much from the cover that looked so much like our walks. The book is set more up towards Kidlington, but you can even walk the canal paths on Street view, I found and the pubs actually exist.

Of the novel Malcolm asked "does the author have a down and out middle
aged heroine who drinks too much and ends up falling for a young
handsome chap?" Good guess!
