There were some elements of cuteness in this book. But the story was meh despite an interesting modern idea. The romance was meh. I don't even really know what to say about this book. It's taken me nearly 2 weeks to write a review and now I barely remember anything about this book. It has potential, though.

There was the hint of a nice mother-daughter relationship but I think it needed more...

I did like learning about the food.

There's not really all that much tension other than the MC pushing the love interest away and even that wasn't all that interesting. After getting fired from her job, everything works out for her. Her YouTube channel is an instant success, people are in the right place at the right time to make good things happen for her. This opportunity and that opportunity fall into her lap. Sure, she puts in some 'sweat equity' but I never felt the tension. :/

There are tons of positive reviews for this book, maybe it just came into my life at a point where I couldn't appreciate it. ?
