Journal Entry 1 by hobbit from Poughkeepsie, New York USA on Wednesday, July 7, 2021
This postcard is being registered to serve as a bookbox / bookring journal. It seems appropriate for the task, as its picture says "Where in the World are Your Books Today?" and I'm using a book label with a world map (received as a gift in a Bookcrossing Sweepstakes) to write the BCID on.

Journal Entry 2 by hobbit at -- Bookbox, -- By post or by hand/ in person -- USA on Wednesday, July 7, 2021

Released 10 mos ago (7/9/2021 UTC) at -- Bookbox, -- By post or by hand/ in person -- USA

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

This postcard is traveling with an "Around the World" bookbox featuring a collection of books from different places. Here's the thread where the bookbox rules and signups are: https://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/20/576374

The bookbox begins with these 11 books (and, of course, the journal postcard):
Africa:
Malawi - The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind
Asia:
China - The Noodle Maker
India - The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters
Europe:
France - Find Me
Italy - Saint Francis
North America:
Mexico - The Spirit of Science Fiction
USA / Mexico - The House of Broken Angels
Pacifica / Oceana:
Antarctica - Baby Penguin
Australia - Baby Kangaroo
South America:
Brazil - The Hour of the Star
Guatemala - In the Hour of Winter

I note that many of these may be used for other countries also, depending on whether you count where the action takes place (and some move from country to country), where the author was born, or where the author lived / lives. Like life, books don't always fall easily into one slot.

Anyway, here goes - may the box travel safely and may all of the participants find something they enjoy!

The box has returned safely to me. Thanks, BookLovinMama, for including some extra books plus a little envelope with a few goodies (labels, bookmark, postcard)

I'll go through and journal all the books and put them on my TBR pile or move them along as appropriate. And I'll hold this journal postcard to be used in a future iteration of this bookbox or some other. :)
