A teenage boy from a dysfunctional family learns about his father’s secret life at his funeral. As Ian begins to unravel all the lies he’s been told, he realizes for the first time that he has the strength to accept the truth and change his own path.
A beautifully written book with a deep message. Even though I haven’t lived Ian’s life, the author’s use of words made me feel that I knew exactly what Ian was feeling. The story, told in flashbacks, kept me engaged, and I read it in two sittings.
