This Book is Currently in the Wild!
4 journalers for this copy...
Congratulations! This is now your book, and you may do as you please with it: keep it as long as you wish, share it with a friend, or leave it where someone else can find it!
Of course, we hope you will make a journal entry to let its previous readers know how & where you found the book. What do you think of it? What will you do with it when you're done? This can be done anonymously. Or if you sympathize with bookcrossing's catch-and-release philosophy, you can open your own account, and be notified when future readers find the book. Some suggestions for release "in the wild" are public bookshelves in coffeeshops, or one of those Little Free Libraries you see all over the place.
In any case, enjoy. There is no cost or obligation.

I bought this hardcover book today at CAPA's Closet Thrift Store, in Beaufort SC USA. I have previously read another copy of this novel, and if you are interested in my review of it, you can see that on goodreads.

Journal Entry 2 by TomHl2 at Science Fiction Only Bookbox, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases on Saturday, August 7, 2021
Released 2 yrs ago (8/8/2021 UTC) at Science Fiction Only Bookbox, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I'm adding this to erishkigal's Science Fiction Only Bookbox to replace a book I have taken out.
It is third in a trilogy, following Marsbound (also in the same bookbox!), and Starbound.

Found this in the Science Fiction bookbox. As I've read it I'm leaving it for someone else, but wanted to add my comments. (I enjoyed Marsbound, the first in the series, also in the bookbox.)
While I haven't read Starbound, the second book in the series, I was able to pick up on events (thanks in part to Carmen giving her own version of an info-dump to some newly-met characters) - and it was all pretty horrifying! Our protagonist is back on Earth, but an Earth that has been deprived of electrical power by the enigmatic Others. This means that much of the book is a kind of post-apocalyptic survival epic - with Carmen and her husband and their allies attempting to work out what the Others are really doing with both the Martians and the Earthlings, and what, if anything, they can do to push back. But survival is key, and as desperate humans struggle for diminishing high-tech supplies, Carmen faces losses and betrayal that might break her.
The conclusion is poignant, but leaves many questions unanswered - though we can hope that the survivors will be left in peace. For now...
[There's a TV Tropes page on the series, with some entertaining tidbits.]

It’s actually rather nice to have a bookbox return with a few books that I have already read… my apartment overfloweth with books to be read, so I appreciate not adding the entire box to the piles😂
So, since I have already enjoyed both this book and the Marsbound series, I will release it soon into a nearby LFL

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Cold and snowy (and absolutely gorgeous) and Salt Lake, so rather than brave traipsing from LFL to LFL, I decided to try a different kind of wild release. I offered eight books on BuyNothing, and within a day they’ve all found new homes.
